"NO CLEVER TITLE, JUST FUTURE STUFF"
What's happening as '26 turns into '27.
As we rapidly approach the end of another year, I thought I'd give a quick update regarding what's going on and what's about to go on here in Gemini-land.
Firstly, in case you're not on my Discord and the purple area of the weekly schedule didn't give it away, yes, I'm finally working on a scripted video again! This one's a Low Budget Gaming, and it's both new and old at the same time. I'm revisiting Revenant. I originally looked at it for episode 15 of the show, but it since got corrupted and has been unavailable. As I type this, everything has been recorded, it's just a question of putting it all together, so hopefully, you can look forward to that some time this month.
Next, a bit of personal news. After at least a year or two of trying (and it being overdue for way longer, if we're being honest), I'm finally seeing a therapist. I'm having weekly appointments for now, and they'll at least last until the end of the year. After that, we're not sure, depends on how much my wife's insurance behaves. Hopefully, it sticks.
Now, then, on to future stuff. In terms of Let's Plays, I'm hoping to record a few more episodes of Rogue Waters and at least one more story-based Let's Play before the year is over which, in terms of my schedule, will be on December 20th. Why that date? In the past few years, it's always been more by chance that I just happen to take some time off around the last couple weeks of the year, but just before I typed this blog, I was thinking to myself that I need to make more of a conscious effort to take time off from everything for the sake of my mental health. I was looking at my calendar and, as things stand currently, the Tormentum II LP will be the last series to end, on the 18th of December, so I figured that worked out nicely enough.
So, I'll be taking two weeks off, starting on December 20th, and I'll be back to work on January 3rd. I won't even schedule any videos to release during that two week window. I will, however, update the calendar on the website to show that two-week period next time I update it. And, I'll be making sure to take at least one such respite every year from now on.
In the sci-fi world, we lost Walter Koenig, Sir Patrick Stewart, AND John Leeson (K9 from Doctor Who) recently, which really sucks. I'm probably going to do one art piece featuring all three of them, since they passed within the same week. I just need to figure out how I want it to look, but that won't be until I'm done with the Revenant episode. I'd also like to get back to doing animation. I don't have any ideas as of yet, so hopefully some kind of inspiration will strike me.
Stay safe, look after yourselves, and I hope to see you for whatever comes next!
