As someone with ADHD I tend to have incredibly random thoughts.  One day, I started thinking to myself thusly: "What if...Smash Bros....but with PC characters".  So I drew up a couple of sample "screenshots" of how I imagined such a game to look.  Here, we have mostly "old-school" characters from the '90s.

As my style for drawing realistic looking human figures evolved, looking back on my earlier works, particularly my "PC Smash" series, I started to become unsatisfied with the way the human characters looked.  So I decided to update the drawings, replacing the human characters with updated versions to reflect my current skill level.  In the case of the Diamondus picture, I also added a bit more texture to the blue rocky areas to make them stand out more.

Another in my series of "What if 'Smash Bros' but PC characters" drawings.  This one's basically full of self-indulgences.  Lunais and Agatha come from games which, I thought, were PC-exclusive (Timespinner and Agatha Knife respectively, and to be fair, I think Timespinner WAS PC-exclusive at the time I got it) but as it turns out they're on multiple platforms.  However, I love their games so much I kept them in anyway.  While the stage for this one was always going to be Myst-themed, I originally thought that too would be nothing more than a self-indulgence as I couldn't think of any characters from the Myst series that would make sense to include, until eventually, after giving it some thought, Sirrus came to mind and seemed to be a perfect fit.

I've been getting back into Critical Role with Campaign Three, and as they're celebrating (at time of making this piece) their 7th anniversary, I decided to make a couple of special editions of my "PC Smash" pics with CR characters.  The background for this one is not (as far as I'm aware) an actual location within the show.  I just wanted to have a stage that basically represented all of Critical Role, something that was basically the "generic CR stage".  As such you can see four banners on the stage representing each of the four parties we've seen across the show, Vox Machina, The Mighty Nein, The Crown Keepers (from Exandria Unlimited), and Bell's Hells (the emblems for the last two I designed myself as, again at time of drawing, I couldn't find any official ones as with VM and MN).

Much like with the Myst stage, I'd been struggling to find a way of incorporating Zork: Grand Inquisitor, another of my all time favorites, into this series.  I couldn't use AFGNCAAP (the player character) because, well, they're an AFGNCAAP (Ageless, Faceless, Gender Neutral, Culturally Ambiguous Adventure Person), and the only other main character that uses magic is Dalboz who is...well...a lantern.  And I didn't think it would be all that interesting to just show a floating lantern as one of the fighters.  So, instead, I decided to have him be wielded by Lucy Flathead, a supporting character who's part of the resistance against the Inquisition.

It's that time again! (he says like there's a set frequency for these things)  Another "PC Smash Bros." entry, and while I've been trying heretofore not to use characters from games I've already represented, I'm rapidly running out of ideas for "new" old PC games, but decided the actual Smash Bros. has multiple characters from a particular franchise (in some cases way too fucking many characters *cough Fire Emblem cough*), so why shouldn't I.  Thus we have repeat appearances from Anachronox and Jazz Jackrabbit, in the forms of Stiletto Anyway and Lori Jackrabbit respectively.  My original plan for this entry was to experiment a bit by using actual game assets for the stage, but I couldn't get clear enough images unfortunately so, other than the actual background, I drew everything as usual.  And yes, I did deliberately pit two characters voiced by Arielle Siegel against each other :-P
